How blessed am I as a photographer?! Gabriel was one of my seniors a couple of years ago and since then, he fell in love with my baby cousin. Not only did I get to capture the moment he popped the question, but I also got to capture their incredibly beautiful wedding on November 4th. Let me tell you, the anticipation was almost too much. I knew it was going to be stunning. Ashleigh is a beautiful old soul and her style is so timeless. They both come from wonderful families and literally hundreds of people were so anxious to see them tie the knot. It felt like a royal wedding- their marriage is good for the kingdom kind of thing.
Ashleigh and Gabe's day met every expectation. The details were breathtaking, her dress made everyone swoon, the weather was perfect. Even better than the things were the people. Their day was filled with so many tender moments, most of which I've highlighted below. The sweetest first looks with her pappy, dad, and bridesmaids, a song tribute at the reception, hugs, tears, and giggles. Even flying pieces of gravel made for precious memories.
I remember all of those little moments from our wedding day. One especially being driving to the reception site in the backseat of the photographer's car and saying to Josh, "We're married."
A memory that came back to mind when I was driving the new Mr. and Mrs. Johnson to their reception. I thought it was so cute-the first thing Ashleigh said was, "Now I can show you the video of when I tried on my dress." They're so relaxed around each other, and obviously best friends. Sometimes opposites attract, but I think Ashleigh and Gabe are two birds of a feather. They're both reserved and gentle. Soft and well-mannered. They both want to keep the peace, but they don't compromise on their convictions. They're both pretty funny, but in the subtle, intuitive way. A literal match made in heaven, and I was so honored (and pretty much ecstatic) to shoot their big day!
This has been a much-anticipated blog, I know, so without further ado, I now present to you Mr. and Mrs. Johnson in image form! Go ahead, start scrollin'!
