"Maggie is awesome and her photos are too. She captures precious moments that tell a story and she makes it seem effortless. You almost forget that she’s there taking the pictures, which is great for those that are camera shy. Maggie will always be our go-to photographer. Wish I could give her 10 stars."

What can I expect when I book a TAL Photography Session?

Every session is so unique and so special. It doesn't matter if it's a wedding, a newborn, or a "just-because", I absolutely cherish every. single. session.

When you book your session:

you can expect to hear back from me (Maggie) very soon, and we'll finalize your session date, time, and location.

During your session:

prepare to smile and laugh- a lot! My posing system favors flattering angles while still creating authentic and timeless moments.

After your session:

I will create a "sneak peek" blog post that highlights some of my favorite images from our time together (this usually takes 1-3 days).

I've spent the last few years learning and mastering manual mode in my camera. You will see me adjusting my settings often during our session. This allows for minimal edits and a super fast turn-around time.

Not only will your images be professionally edited and delivered as high-quality JPEGs, you won't have to pick and choose which ones to keep! I NEVER limit my sessions to a certain number of images. These are your memories. Any good image I can take, you will receive as well. I am generally able to deliver about 100+ images per a one-hour session!

Every image is available to you via an online digital gallery. You will have full rights to download, share, and print as you please! The best part? You can do it all from your phone if you want!

FAQs

FAQs

Do you offer retouching?
YES! My goal is for every image to look natural. If I come across a trait that is naturally there, (a birthmark, for example) I do not retouch it. However, if a client has a blemish that could be here-today-gone-tomorrow, I will absolutely remove it from their images. I can remove acne, cuts, tan lines from glasses, styes in eyes, boogers in little noses... You name it, I've probably digitally removed it. A bad acne day does NOT have to get in the way of your session! (And no, it will NOT cost you anything extra!)

Where are you located?
I am primarily located in Scottsburg, Indiana. However, I service all of the Southern Indiana and Louisville area.

Do you travel?
Absolutely! I will happily travel anywhere from Columbus, Indiana to Louisville for no extra cost. Travel outside of that will be added to the session cost at a rate of $100 per hour of travel.

How much does it cost to book a wedding?
Your wedding day is SO important! You've spent hours, days, months, maybe even years planning every detail. Wedding day photography is not something I take lightly. I understand the importance of capturing every decision you've made and preserving them forever. Every wedding day that is booked includes a free engagement session, a free custom timeline, and a free custom organizational wedding day catalog. The goal is not just to take pictures, but to give you the tools and resources you need to have a stress-free and memorable day!

Weddings start at $1,800 and include eight hours of continuous coverage. Additional hours can be purchased at $100 per extra hour of shooting. Learn more about TAL weddings here.

When will I receive my images?
If you book a portrait session (Senior, Family, Maternity, etc...) you can expect to have your full gallery back in three weeks or less! If you book a Wedding or Event, you can expect to have your images within six weeks!

How & when do I pay you?
Most sessions (besides Weddings and Events) will be paid for during or right after the session. I accept cash or check OR if you would rather use a card, I can send a secure invoice to your email.

When is the best time to schedule my session?
I'm a big fan of golden hour. I always try to schedule sessions close to sunset (or sunrise, if need be) to ensure the best lighting!
