ALYSSA & ZAYNE | A DREAMY SUNSET ELOPEMENT AT PARIS PARK

I’ve always told my husband that parties are my love language. I adore organizing, pinning, planning, and scrutinizing every detail. I absolutely love arriving to a wedding day and seeing all of the couple's plans fall into place. Some weddings are grand productions with hundreds of guests, and I cannot lie, I absolutely love them. This is exactly why I was so stunned by how much I enjoyed Alyssa and Zayne’s much more intimate celebration.

With four kids in tow, they traveled for three hours to Paris Park to say I do in an evening that felt deeply personal from beginning right until the last drop of sunlight sank below the horizon. They traded tradition for intention and were fully present with the people in their lives that mattered most and I am absolutely honored to have been one of the few witnesses to their union.

What was amazing to me was that all of those big, wonderful moments that I see in so many large weddings were all still there for the new Mr. and Mrs. Scott. I met Zayne in the groom’s suit as he was getting ready and just like every other groom, I could sense his nervousness. As Alyssa took a long, solitary, and peaceful stroll under the forest trees down to the alter where her groom was waiting, I audibly gasped at the magic coming through my viewfinder. She was breathtaking. After their eyes met, I watched all of Zayne’s jitters evolve into butterflies and fly away, and he was totally relaxed for the rest of the evening.

Every bit of emotion, joy, magic, and memory that is present in 13 hour wedding days was just as real in the two hours I spent with this couple. And the crazy thing is, I left there feeling like I had known them my whole life! Just like one big, happy family, we frolicked around Paris Park taking advantage of the insanely gorgeous evening. I am in awe of how many perfect moments we were able to capture in such a short time.

Thank you, Alyssa and Zayne, for trusting me to capture such a meaningful wedding that I will never forget!
