SKYLEE & JACOB | A DREAMY WEDDING DAY FULL OF LOVE AND LAUGHTER

Wedding days are of course about the bride and groom. The entire day is centered around the love between two people and the new life they’ll begin together. Sometimes, though, I’m lucky enough to photograph weddings that are less of a display and more of a celebration. The new Mr. and Mrs. Cole created a wedding day together that was exactly that! They chose to surround themselves with the people they love most- the ones who have shaped their lives into what they are today.  I almost feel like they crafted their wedding day as a way to say “thank you” to the ones they call family.

And their guest list didn’t take that honor lightly! The amount of love and support I could feel for these two was unmatched. From the carefully placed centerpieces to the very last steamer that was waved, everyone put so much attention into making sure these two had a smooth transition into man and wife. God smiled on these efforts by blessing us with an absolutely perfect day. The weather was a dream. A light breeze ruffled the leaves of the trees while the sun beamed down on these two love birds.

As much as Skylee was the opposite of a bridezilla, she couldn’t hide on the sidelines even if she wanted to! This bride was stunning. Her natural beauty, both inside and out, was undeniable. The only thing that made her shine brighter was when she was next to the man she loved. These two bring out the best in each other and it was a dream to capture on camera.

Speaking of photographers' dreams, how dreamy is this color palette?! “Something Blue” may be my new favorite theme. Detail shots are my jam and I was in heaven shuttering away at this incredible spread. The mix of textures and shades had me drooling. Everything was crafted together so beautifully, yet the entire day was relaxed and inviting.

One of my very favorite parts of a wedding day (and yes, it happens at every single one) is catching the groom in what I call his "pinch me" moment. It may happen while he's taking a picture with a guest, or chatting to a vendor, or while he's walking from point a to point b. Without fail, at some point during the day, I witness the groom fidgeting with his ring. And it is the sweetest thing ever. It's like I can see him thinking, "Oh, this is real now." Jake Cole gave me so many of those moments and it was adorable. This guy is in love and I am beyond happy for them.

It's always a joy to capture a wedding that's just as meaningful as it is beautiful. My heart (and SD card) were so full at the end of this perfect day!

The biggest congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Cole!
