At a client meeting recently, I was asked if I had ever worked with a Bridezilla. Honestly: no.
Honestly.
I’m not even the least bit unserious when I say that every single couple I have worked with has genuinely been a delight. After that question, I started to wonder if it was just chance or coincidence, but then I realized that most of my marketing is just plain ol’ word of mouth. I started out with amazing clients who then referred their siblings, cousins, bridesmaids, friends, in-laws…and that has just given me more and more amazing clients. Through a long line of referrals, I was brought to Lauren and Emory.
I pulled up to their venue with all of the confidence in the world that this would be an amazing day. Why? Because I know them and I know that they are the best kind of people and their friends and loved ones are the same. What I didn’t know is that their wedding day would be one massive art gallery of a blog post!
The day was so relaxed, yet everything ran smoothly. Nothing felt rushed, yet it all felt important. They were bubbly and excited, and still refined and timeless. It was an honor to witness and that much more to capture!
While we’re spilling the photography tea, I’ll let you in on another small secret: my favorite types of smiles are those who crinkle their nose. It’s like a romance novel in real life. Lauren is a bright, joyful light. Emory just sits back and admires her crinkly-nose, open-mouth laughs and it’s all too sweet for words.
I know you two will have a wonderful marriage and journey together. You make others feel seen and appreciated. You’re both hard workers, yet you’re able to find the joy in the moment. What a wonderful gift you have found in each other!
