LEXIE & CAVEN | A DREAMY JUNE WEDDING AT PARIS PARK

Someone asked me yesterday if I get a lot of clients who book year after year. I told her yes, and it’s the best feeling ever. I can’t even explain how rewarding it is to watch children grow up to become adults, couples grow into families, and families grow even bigger. The Stickels family has been a steady and wonderful presence in my photography journey. From surprise proposals, to weddings, to babies and family sessions, I’ve grown to adore this bunch and feel right at home whenever I’m with them.

If you can even fathom how special that makes me feel to get to capture this incredible day for Lexie and Caven, no you can’t. From the moment I arrived at Paris Park, I knew even my own expectations would be exceeded. The perfect June weather met with soft, pastel details and stunning florals made my little heart flutter. Fast-forward to Lexie stepping out in her dress for the first time and seeing the magic that was that veil, it was almost too good to be true. This woman is stunning, but what makes her images so incredible is nothing I could ever take credit for. In every single image, you can see her personality shining through in her eyes. Lexie is a joy to be around, she’s the type of fun-loving, caring spirit that puts everyone at ease.

Nobody knows that better than Caven. Their hands met for the first time on June 6, 2026 when they sat back-to-back to share their private vows while the videographer, coordinator, and I stood back, admiring the couple.

“They’re gorgeous,” I told Alexis.

“Yeah and they actually like each other!” she replied.

Such a simple statement with so much truth. Wedding planning is stressful, and I’ll be the first to admit that we as human beings can be less than our best if we feel stressed.

I smiled, understanding her observation. Lexie and Caven’s day was nothing but a celebration. Not a show or facade. Not a formality, but a true celebration of two people who love and like each other. I don’t know how to explain it, but I truly believe that type of environment creates a better wedding gallery. Maybe it’s the pure joy that shines through in the images. Or maybe it’s the fact that when I’m more at ease, I can subconsciously be more creative and free behind the lens. Or maybe it’s because when we all look back at these images, the only feelings they will muster inside of us are the happiest ones.

Thank you both, Mr. and Mrs. Stickels, for a perfect wedding day to capture.
