When I tell you there is no greater thrill as a photographer than crouching down in the bushes, putting your finger to your lips as you beg passers-by to keep your secret while you’re waiting to jump out and start snapping at the perfect moment…

I tell you from experience.

And what an experience it was! Phew! We actually got her! Although Josh did the planning and the knee-bending, and pretty much all of the hard work, I was just elated that I wasn’t the one to ruin the surprise.

From a distance, all I could hear was, “Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness!” but I’m pretty sure she said “yes” because soon Josh turned around and pointed at me and the look on Lauren’s face was priceless.

And as far as perfect proposals go, there could not be a more deserving couple. Josh and Lauren are the sweetest, most humble souls. Their love for Jesus, their families, and each other is unmistakable.

Humidity, pollen, and a whole lotta love was in the air and I could not be more excited to watch their adventure together unfold.
