If anyone ever asks me what my favorite session is, I always know the answer: whichever session is the most recent. And yet again, that stands true. The cool thing about photography is that there is always something to learn, a skill to refine, a creative direction to try… That’s why I can truly say that my favorite session is the last one I shot because I feel like I’m constantly learning and refining.

This one, though… I’m really not sure if it will be beat.

I mean, come on. This session was a Pinterest board brought to life. Not only because of the location, but because of this incredible couple. I got to photograph my gorgeous soon-to-be sister and I got to boss around my baby brother, which has been one of my most favorite things to do since I was three. Poor kid was forced to play Polly Pockets and watch Strawberry Shortcake for most of his childhood. But he also made me play Sonic on the GameCube and sit through 3,581 baseball games, so I guess we’re even.

And now he thinks he’s old enough to get married.

I know I have some bias, but I think Lexi and Jake are two of the most stunning people in the world. When I look at these images, I can feel the joy between them. I’ve seen it in real life too and I can attest that their hearts are even more beautiful than their faces.

I’ve been experimenting with film and drone photography, and I could not have picked a better couple to practice on. They are so fun and willing to do any crazy thing I ask of them, even at the risk of grass stains.

I’m serious, y’all. Prepare yourselves. This session is art.
