MAGGIE (THAT'S ME!) AND JOSH | OUR SESSION AT THE INDIANA STATEHOUSE

Here's the story:

I blog almost all of my sessions. That means my husband proofreads all of my blogs (yes-blame mistakes on him). After he read about a session I did for the sweetest engaged couple at the Indiana Statehouse, that man says to me, "Those were really pretty. We should go there and take pictures together."

I know. I know. Nicholas Sparks himself couldn't have come up with a more romantic line.

Say less.

Coincidentally, my bff texted me about that same session saying she needed an excuse to take pictures there.

Thanks, Joshy, for a great excuse! The fact that this was the day before my 30th birthday was a decent excuse as well. So I bought two cheap dresses from Shein, ran out of time to curl my hair properly, lint-rolled Josh's black suit, and had the time of my life with my sweetheart.

I genuinely love when I get to step into my clients’ shoes. The reminder of what it feels like to be in front of the camera is much-needed. When we left and headed off to stuff our faces with birthday cake, I felt even more in love with my Dear than I did before. I sure hope anyone who allows me the privilege of documenting their love story feels the same way.
