Madalyn and James' engagement session at the Indiana Statehouse felt like stepping into a modern Jane Austen film. Every detailed column, marble staircase, and glowing chandelier had me in a composition wonderland. The setting was so deeply romantic, but the real showstopper was the love between this beautiful couple.
This incredible building provided the perfect canvas to show off the relationship between the future Mr. & Mrs. VanDrunen. Their bond is timeless, yet relaxed. They are so refined, yet bubbly. Their connection brought so much life and warmth to each frame. I'm usually able to guide and hype my couples with as much enthusiasm and audibility as I want to, but our setting provided a unique posing challenge for this couple. They had to take each pose into their own hands while I was on the other side of the balconies, only able to guide with crazy hand gestures. And they absolutely crushed it.
They took every prompt and pose and made it their own. The silent giggles, the gentle touches, the heartfelt moments...every image turned out museum-worthy thanks to the authentic love these two share. If this is any indication of their wedding day, I seriously cannot wait.
