I love shooting in manual mode. I feel like I have so much more control over the final look of the image. Controlling aperture, ISO, focus...they're all tiny parts of the big puzzle that is a final image! It seems, though, that no matter how many elements I can control in camera, there's always another element of light coming from outside the camera that I have no control over. It may just be me and my photography-loving heart, but I promise I can see a difference in images when there's a couple in love in front of the camera. It's like the spark between them creates a glow that brightens up every image.
Yeah, ok, that may be the cheesiest thing I've ever typed, but how else do you explain sessions like these?! Brittany and Derek walked onto a wet, dead, gray gravel road and created bright, warm, and vibrant images. No Photoshop required! The magic was just as real during the moment. I adored watching these two giggle, dance, twirl, joke, and snuggle. Nothing like a perfect engagement session to raise the wedding excitement bar!
