MAIZY GRACE IS ONE!

Well that was a crazy year! I can't believe that this time last September, we were bringing our baby home from the hospital. How can something feel like a lifetime ago and yesterday all at once?

It's hard to think of our family before Miss Maizy. Bae Mae. Maizy Daizy. Amaiz-y Grace. Billy Maiz. Maizy Baizy. The Maiz. The Gremlin.

She may have been the surprise of our lives, but now our family could never be complete without her. She's as spunky as they come. At a ripe 12 months old, she is completely her own person. She will not be persuaded to think or feel anything other than what she wants to. She's in charge, adored, and completely unaware that she is the third child.

To celebrate such a special girl, we gathered in the studio to watch her devour her first cake while also snapping some shots with big brother and sister. Then, we splashed in the sink to finish out the session. I've done this a few gazillion times, but I'm not sure I've ever seen another baby eat cake the way the Gremlin did.
