Not even the arthritis in my knuckles before the rain makes me feel as old as this post does. I have known this girl since literally the day she was born. I was there for her first steps. This girl used to make me watch Yo Gabba Gabba! and Tangled on repeat. This girl was my flower girl. This girl is my little sister, and somehow, this girl is a senior.
I was volunteering in her kindergarten class my senior year and now she’s coming to my kid’s kindergarten graduation. Time is weird. What used to be a spunky, curly-headed blonde baby running around in high heels is now this reserved, grown-up woman driving herself to my house. I know she’ll never see herself the way I do, but it hurts me to think that she would ever think of herself as less than stunning. When people compare us, it is the biggest compliment to me. I’ve had the privilege of watching her grow up and now I have the honor of posting her beautiful senior portraits.
For reference: This is little, blonde, spunky Luci my senior year

And this is her now...
