JACKSON MATERNITY

Isn't it so ironic that the most fleeting parts of our lives have the most impact? Take the journey of motherhood, for example. The time you carry your little one inside of you is so short compared to the timeline of your life, yet in that time, your entire mind and body is transformed into something that's able to sustain another life. And when that time is over, you're left with the greatest gift that will completely change your life forever.

That's kind of the wonder of this job. These times, these moments, are so impactful, yet they're gone in the blink of an eye. That is why I believe it's so important to capture them! I promise I didn't feel like it any of the three times, but I'm so thankful for my maternity sessions now. I can look at them and I'm instantly brought back to what it feels like to have my babies kick my belly.

And to highlight just how adorable and magical this time can be: please allow me to introduce the Jackson family! Will and Farrah are already the proud parents of one super spirited and sweet Ellie, but very soon, the fourth piece to their puzzle will fit right in! The most puzzling part? Nobody knows if Ellie will be a big sister to a baby boy or a baby girl! I can't tell you how much I love that concept, having had a surprise baby myself. One thing is for sure, there's no lack of excitement from Mom, Dad or Big Sis!

We chose the gorgeous Cincinnati Nature Center for this shoot and it was pretty much just like a frolic in the park for this family- I was just happy to join them! Farrah is glowing and I couldn't get enough of it! The first thing I noticed when she walked out of the car? Those incredible eight-months-along ankles! Mommas, I know you can appreciate.

Already a super dad, Will spent a lot of his time entertaining and hyping up Ellie. Thankfully, she let us borrow him for a couple of shots, but who are we kidding? This is Ellie's world and we're all just lucky to be taking pictures in it! As a proud big sister myself, I can tell you that she has exactly what perfect first children are made of.
