What a precious, storybook session. I love shooting lifestyle newborn sessions because it's like taking a little peek into a family's life. Like watching a movie or reading a book.

Bringing home a baby, especially the first one, can be scary and overwhelming. Often times, I felt like Google raised my baby more than I did. The real stuff is messy and trying and nobody wants to be photographed at 3 a.m. when the baby is screaming and the bottle is warming up. I get that.

But I also get that there are times of wonder and joy and perfection and that's the part I can capture, bottle up, and turn into lifelong memories. What a stunning example we have in Hudson's newborn session. His adorable nursery was full of handmade details and keepsakes. His momma and daddy smiled at him like he was the most precious thing ever (because, well, he is!) and everything just kind of felt like a storybook.

I'm so excited to share these moments of joy and wonder! Hudson is perfection and pure sweetness. Congratulations, Smeloskys!
