AHS SSS DANCE 2026

You know what’s crazy? I live and have lived 30 minutes from Churchill Downs my entire life. People fly in from all over the country to get dressed up and watch the Kentucky Derby. Here I am within reach and I can remember watching it on TV two times in my life. Once just because it was on in a restaurant.

You see, if you travel just a little ways north, you will find that around here, it’s not Derby season. It’s prom season. I get a front row seat each year to the fashion and excitement of this magical night and I have to say that 2026 did not disappoint!

Adison & Isaiah

Starting off this post strong right out of the gate are Adison and Isaiah. I’ve had the privilege of photographing both of these young people before and they’re just the best, easiest clients. Adison complemented her magical, auburn locks and flawless complexion with a glistening black and magenta gown. I think she is unaware of just how beautiful she is-inside and out! Isaiah was the perfect escort. He’s always a gentleman with an easy-going personality that pairs perfectly with Adison’s meek and precious demeanor.

Teagan & Xander

Teagan and Xander showed up in a stunning deep blue ensemble! Of course, my brain couldn’t help but think Go Cats! No matter the color, Teagan always shines! She’s bubbly and beautiful and I love having her in the studio. Xander’s debut did not disappoint! He’s a natural in front of the camera. You two were wonderful and I hope you had the best time!

Ayden & Kolten

Giving all of the Old Hollywood vibes, Ayden and Kolten gave some stunning shots. I am a gold girly, so their sleek get-up was a’speakin’ my language! I loved their details: the bedazzled bodice, white flowers, wavy hair, and dark suit created the perfectly classy look for this classy couple! Thanks for being so easy to photograph!

Chloe & Zander

My baby! How is this possible?! This is the kid who used to religiously correct me that he was “handsome, not cute.” As his older sister, I will forever think both, but it is fair to say that he has grown up into one handsome young man. Standing next to him was Miss Chloe in an absolutely gorgeous mint gown. I thought the color complemented her so well. 10/10

Maddie & Brayden

My model couple! I adore these two. Maddie looks incredible always, no matter what and Brayden acts elated just to be in the presence of such beauty. The black and pink were the perfect balance of sophisticated and playful, just like them! The pony?! Perfection.

Monse & Gavin

Monse took the prize for Landon’s favorite dress. A distinguished honor, truly. What can I say? The kid knows what he’s talking about. Monse is stunning and her dress was amazing. Gavin, looking rather dapper himself, rocked the pink. Together, they absolutely crushed this session.

Sadie & Lukas

I want to open this one with the James Bond theme song. Sadie and Lukas looked all mysterious and sophisticated in their jet-black outfits. Sadie used to dress up in princess gowns and pose with me on prom nights. I’m not sure how my second baby is looking so grown-up, but here we are. . Although they nailed the serious looks, I loved their adorable smiles too.

Luci

Wooci! As her niece, Miss Maizy likes to call her. Sometimes I look at her and can’t believe I’m related to this blonde beauty. Luci looked like Prom Barbie. Accompanied by my two babies, Zander and Landon, Luci looked perfect and I love her and I’m very proud of her. (Don’t worry, this is the last of my siblings, no more sappy posts- I promise!)

Lia

If I could give a “best color” award, it would have to go to Lia’s incredible lilac gown! Stunning! I loved every accessory, the glitter, and the movement in her dress. As much as I loved her ensemble, I found myself wanting to do so many close-ups of her! Lia is gorgeous from every angle and I had so much fun photographing her.

Rikki

Rikki! When did she become a woman?! I was blown away by her session. She’s so sugary sweet and bubbly, but so mature and classy at the same time. Remember guys: this is her freshman year. Honestly, I’m not sure how she’s going to top this one.

Kaitlyn & Brayden

Red is never, ever a bad choice. It’s so timeless and elegant. Kaitlyn and Brayden pulled it off flawlessly! These two were the sweetest. Kaitlyn’s red lips and roses were the perfect way to highlight her beauty. After her solo shots were over and it was Brayden’s turn, he warned me that he wasn’t as photogenic as her. Awwwww! How sweet is that?!

I think they both crushed their time in front of the camera and I’m loving these results.

Khloe & Carter

Khloe always radiates joy and beauty. She could wear her pajamas to prom and still steal the spotlight. Carter, ever the gentleman, told her no less than 10 times during our short session how beautiful she is. Prom goals, these two are. They’re always an absolute pleasure!

Abby

I said no more sappy posts, but I may have lied. It’s Abby’s time to shine! But, honestly, when is it not? This girl is gorgeous, but would you believe me if I told you she is just as beautiful on the inside? I’m very proud of the young lady she’s become. On top of all of this, she looked like a million bucks. I told you, I’m a sucker for gold. Check out the close-up of her dress! Breathtaking!

Braelly & Koltyn

How cute is this couple?! The patterns mixed with the pops of red were so cool and the perfect representation of them. Stunning and fun! They were so at-ease for the camera and you can tell they’re just having a good time. I loved everything about it!

Hollis & Kallen

Sweet Hollis has a fan club! My sisters looked through these sneaks with me and they kept talking about how much they love her and how sweet she is. I would have to agree! Kallen and Hollis were so dashing. They both have such a gentle personality and I loved taking their portraits!

Julia & Bentley

Julia and Bentley crushed this session! I loved everything about it! From the double-bowtie to the sash around the bouquet, these two didn’t miss a detail. And I loved how they were so willing to do the fun and playful shots. You two looked incredible! Thanks for a fun session!

Ella & Cason

Oh, these two! I never know how they’re going to top their last session, but somehow, they always do! Ella is a stunner and the sweetest thing. I was telling my husband how mature and respectful Cason always is. These two were the most perfect way to close out this marathon of sessions. I know they’re always going to give me the most amazing shots. I was right! Although I may be partial to the blue they wore a couple of weeks ago, I must admit that they're just as dashing in IU red.

Every year I am blown away by these young people! Derby who? Met Gala? Never heard of her. It's prom season and I could not be more proud to showcase these stunning students!
